Pupil Premium
The Pupil Premium is an amount of money the government allocates to each school, to support all pupils to reach their potential. It is particularly aimed at pupils who may also be in receipt of free school meals (FSM). It includes pupils eligible for FSM at any point in the last six years (known as the Ever 6 FSM measure - FSM6).
The Government believes that the Pupil Premium funding, which is additional to main school funding, is the best way to address the current inequalities by ensuring that funding reaches the pupils who need it most.
It is for schools to decide how the Pupil Premium is spent, as they are best placed to assess what additional provision should be made for the individual pupils at their school. Click here to view our Pupil Premium Policy.
