Non-Teaching/Support Staff Posts


Hours : 08:45 to 15:30  :  31 hours & 15 minutes a week  : Band 1 Step 2 - £14,679 Term Time only (£19,665 FTE)

We wish to appoint a lively and energetic Learning Support Assistant to join our dynamic and hard-working staff within this successful Academy.  Start date will be Monday 4th September 2017(dependent on receipt of clear DBS).

The successful candidate will:

  • have experience of working with children, particularly those with special educational needs.

  • be in possession of an NVQ3 Certificate in Educational Childcare, or equivalent, and have GCSE English and Maths at Grade C or above  

  • be able to communicate effectively with all stakeholders

  • have high levels of inter-personal skills and demonstrate a capacity to develop expertise in a core field

  • support children’s learning in the indoor & outdoor environment

  • contribute to observations and assessment of children’s learning

  • take part in whole team planning sessions

  • be able to administer First Aid and medication for children with specific needs or a willingness to train

  • be committed to promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children

  • a preference will be made for classroom experience, whether voluntary or paid.
